Cirque Du Soleils Zumanity In Las Vegas Is One Sexy Show

Cirque du Soleils Zumanity in Las Vegas is the most titillating of all the Vegas shows created by this world famous entertainment group. While most of Cirque’s shows are family friendly, this one is strictly for mature audiences.

The provocative production is done cabaret style with no plot. Each vignette features a unique dance or acrobatic number. The imagery and choreography are erotic and the numbers celebrate sexuality while highlighting the human form and its amazing ability to move. The music is a blend of exotic rhythms, violin and jazzy horns.

The show presents a mixture of sexy stereotypes and creative numbers that go well beyond the usual and expected. Familiar fantasies come to life with a school girl performing a number with hula hoops and theater greeters dressed as French maids and interacting with the crowd as they wait for the show to begin. Another number features an aerialist performing while wrapped in chains and suspended from the ceiling. Two beautiful women cavort and contort in a huge bowl of water in yet another act.

The costumes only add to the sexuality of the production with many of them as minimal as it gets. The colorful velvet dresses, corsets and cone bras are embellished with lace, feather and fur. Some of the women perform topless but other costumes are partially airbrushed making the performers appear nearly nude.

Zumanity opened in the fall of 2003 in an intimate theater at New York-New York, a resort in Las Vegas belonging to the MGM Resorts International family. Fifty entertainers are showcased during the 90-minute production. Due to its explicit content, guest must be at least 18 years old to enter the theater. Attendees will have to check their inhibitions at the door to really appreciate this sexy show. Those who do will have an experience that is intensely creative and unique.

Cirques Viva Elvis In Las Vegas

French performance troupe Cirque du Soleil translated roughly into ‘The Circus of the Sun’ have been globally famous performers for decades now. The company’s mixture of traditional circus performance such as clowns, gymnasts and daredevils, with a modern and theatrical touch have kept them at the top of the game for a long long time. Cirques Viva Elvis in Las Vegas is their latest show, in which they pay tribute to the iconic figure.

Elvis Aaron Presley is an artist who has captured and defined what many now regard as the USA’s golden age better than anyone. The story of his life from humble beginnings as a precociously talented young rock-a-billy star to Vegas legend and then descent into bloated drug addiction is for many one that is tied with the nation itself.

As much as anything the singer has become perhaps the most recognizable icon of the city of Las Vegas itself. Late 1960s Presley in his sequined white jumpsuit and Aviator sunglasses displays a uniquely American cool, a boredom of excess and almost ironic detachment that gets to the very heart of what makes America great and what will be it’s downfall.

Many will question whether a whimsical French act such as Cirque du Soleil will be able to pay a fitting tribute to an artist so tied to the American mythology. Despite it’s modernity, Cirque is a very French group, the roots of much of their performance can be traced back to the Gypsy and Celtic travelling minstrels, and are on the surface a million miles from the Anglo-Saxon ideal that Elvis is so tied to.

Digging a little deeper however we see many similarities, the show Cirques Viva Elvis in Las Vegas pays tribute to the fantastical and surreal world of Las Vegas as much as the performer. Although he is very much the center of the idea, his reaction and the almost surreal nature of the place is tied into the almost universal themes of the wanton excesses of the city of sin.

Cirque Du Soleil KA In Las Vegas Is Amazing

Cirque du Soleil’s KA is an amazing masterpiece in storytelling. A tale of twins on an adventorous journey attempting to fulfill their shared destiny. Along the way they encounter some incredible acrobatic performances and the incredible action of martial arts techniques from all over the world.Their journey encounters both forces of good and evil, and their world soon becomes under attack and eventually collapses around them. As the story unfolds the twins seem to find danger everywhere they go.
The story at times seems hard to follow, but the stage, the props, and the performers will have you on the edge of your seat wondering “how’d they do that”. The rotating stage really makes the show feel up close and personal. Probably not the best Cirque show, but definitely worth the price of a ticket.
